Supporting Education in Greece’s Most Remote Frontier Communities

With a sense of responsibility and solidarity, Faos & MyCrown Collection successfully completed an initiative that began last year, aimed at supporting Greece’s remote and vital frontier community of Kastellorizo.

In 2024, the two companies collaborated to create a limited-edition collection of sunglasses inspired by the island, pledging to donate 10% of the sales to support the needs of the local community.

This August, one year later, that goal became a reality with the donation of technological equipment worth € 3,900 to the Junior High & High School of the Municipality of Megisti, in the presence of Mayor Mr. Nikos Asvestis. The donation includes a state-of-the-art photocopying multifunction device and multiple lifetime Microsoft Office Professional licenses, which will significantly enhance the students’ educational experience.

“It is an honor for us to support young people growing up and learning in Greece’s most remote and vital frontier corner of Greece. Kastellorizo inspired us and brought us together for a common purpose,” stated Sophia Vaharis-Tsouvelekakis and Giorgos Avramis.
