MyCROWN – YELLOW KORNER Takes on the Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon
The MyCROWN – YELLOW KORNER MONTE CARLO team successfully completed the 2026 Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon, securing an impressive 11th-place finish among 35 participating teams.
Managed by Benjamin Laurens and Sophia Tsouvelekakis, the team brought together drivers united by their enthusiasm for karting, teamwork and the spirit of competition. Over the course of the endurance event, the team demonstrated consistency, determination and strong team spirit.
The Circuit Paul Ricard Karting circuit once again became the setting for the Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon, an endurance event created to honour the memory of the French racing driver and to support the charitable work of the Jules Bianchi Association. The 11th edition brought together 35 teams for an extraordinary challenge: more than 42 hours of continuous relay racing. The duration of the event – 42 hours, 19 minutes and 50 seconds – echoes the distance of a marathon and reflects the event’s unique combination of sporting determination, teamwork and remembrance.
Several personalities from the worlds of motorsport and entertainment also joined the event, including racing drivers Doriane Pin, Norman Nato and Tom Bianchi, as well as tennis icon Henri Lecomte.

Racing to support patients and families
Although the event is built around a demanding endurance race, its purpose extends well beyond the track. The funds raised during this edition will support L’Archet Hospital in Nice and initiatives designed to assist patients and their families.
Founded in 2015 following Jules Bianchi’s death from injuries sustained during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, the Jules Bianchi Association works to improve the lives of people affected by severe brain injuries. Its activities include supporting medical research, helping finance specialist equipment and providing assistance to families. The association also contributes to the care services at Nice’s L’Archet Hospital, where Jules Bianchi received treatment during the final months of his life.
A committed team of volunteers
Among the 35 participating teams was MyCROWN – YELLOW KORNER MONTE CARLO, a group formed by motorsport enthusiasts who came together in support of this meaningful cause.
The team’s principal sponsors are MyCrown Collection (Founder Mrs. Sophia Vaharis Tsouvelekakis) and YellowKorner Monte Carlo (Owner and Gérant Mr. Leonidas Kambanis), who have partnered for the third consecutive year in support of the Jules Bianchi Association.
The team brought together approximately twenty volunteers from the participating organisations. Alongside the drivers, team members took on essential roles in management, logistics and race support, demonstrating that success in an endurance event depends on far more than the time spent behind the wheel.
Following more than 42 hours of relay racing, MyCROWN – YELLOW KORNER MONTE CARLO finished in an outstanding 11th position overall out of 35 teams – a particularly strong result in a field that included experienced and professional competitors. Among the non-professional teams, they finished in an impressive 2nd place.
The team’s participation was about more than its final ranking. The marathon offered a memorable team-building experience, bringing colleagues together across different organisations and creating lasting connections through a shared commitment to sport, solidarity and charitable action.
